A construction industry specialist with over 33 years’ experience in new build and commercial/industrial conversion projects across the country.
A Chartered Structural Engineer by profession who, after working in a number of large corporate businesses at senior level, started his own structural engineering consultancy business in 1998.
The business worked on many iconic projects as both main designer and peer review engineers for schemes such as;

Wimbledon’s retracting roof
World renowned sculptures at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
The business worked across all sectors of construction including the residential, health care, sports and commercial sectors. The business worked across all sectors of construction including the residential, health care, sports and commercial sectors and grew over a 10 year period both organically and through acquisition, after which time it was sold in 2008 to the Capita Group.
Ritchie continued to work a further 2 years with Capita as Managing Director of the UK Structures Division and Board Director of the UK Design Division.
After completing his ‘work out’ time with Capita Ritchie then spent time working as a specialist consultant, advising businesses on turnaround and preparation for sale. Also, in 2012 he acquired and remodelled a marine industry based chemical distribution company.
In 2013 Ritchie set up a construction company with a business partner, working in refurbishment and new build construction of residential properties in and around the County of Hampshire.
Ritchie now spends much of his time in Allbrook Developments working on projects in the conversion of existing commercial and light industrial space into residential apartments and in the development of new build residential sites.
In addition to his own developments Ritchie spends some of his time in the construction industry as a coach and mentor to a number of up and coming property developers through his training company propertyCEO
